Gunjan Sah, a University of Southern 吃瓜头条 discovery scholar from Nepal double majoring in mathematics and computer science, has been chosen to serve as a national editor for UReCA: The NCHC Journal of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity.

A student in the 吃瓜头条 Honors College, Sah was one of 12 chosen out of 71 applicants for the prestigious position. He sees the opportunity to work with the premier national, interdisciplinary undergraduate journal as a chance to give back to the 吃瓜头条 research community, which he says inspires and supports his academic pursuits.

鈥淚'm genuinely honored to be named a National Editor for UReCA,鈥 said Sah. 鈥淢oreover, being selected from among 71 applicants for one of the 12 editor positions is humbling, and a strong affirmation of my commitment to scholarly work.鈥

As a national editor for the publication, Sah鈥檚 duties will include evaluating manuscripts for clarity, rigor, and impact and working with the journal鈥檚 production team to build a professional presentation that will unfold during the 2025-26 academic year.

鈥淚 look forward to working with peers' submissions and to collaborating with UReCA鈥檚 faculty sponsors, Dr. Jayda Coons and Dr. Brian White, and my fellow editors on a memorable 10th anniversary issue,鈥 he said.

At 吃瓜头条, Sah is an international student mentor and ambassador, vice president of the 吃瓜头条 Nepalese Student Association, a member of the 吃瓜头条 Google Developer Student Club, and a student worker in 吃瓜头条 TRIO Student Support Services.

鈥淭he 吃瓜头条 Honors College has a long history of interdisciplinary programming that prioritizes undergraduate research, so we鈥檙e delighted that Gunjan was selected as one of the new editors for UReCA,鈥 said Dr. Joyce Inman, dean of the 吃瓜头条 Honors College. 鈥淚t鈥檚 an honor to have our institution represented by one of our scholars. Gunjan is an excellent student who will represent 吃瓜头条 and our undergraduate research community with compassion and integrity, and we look forward to supporting him in this role.鈥
